The “Rhythmic Celebration” theme merged a little with the Euphoric Rise one of last Friday that I did not finish. The remnants of the last sucker I know to contract covid were a little too much. And it is a challenge I put on myself. So I can be contacted to ask for leniency in the rules. By myself.
The music is basically tinkering around with something remotely connected to Psytrance. But part of the “Oops” in the title is me finding out I still have to reinstall, relicense or even rebuy plugins and stuff. It is not just fun and games, starting to use a new laptop!
The video is basically a 15 second Blender camera animation I made based on the original artwork for them Saturday music thingies. Which is as simple as it gets; a PBR shader from CGaxis with hefty displacement, some tactically placed light sources, and there you go!
Because the music turned to be a little over 15 seconds, I fed the enlarged and enhanced video (I rendered it really fast at ¾ of the size and ½ the speed and yanked it through TopazLabs Video ai) to @RunwayML and asked for four examples per style/prompt. And then decided to have them all rendered. Also, I bought extra seconds ($ 100! That is how they get you, by surprising you with stuff you could not make in a couple of minutes before, ever). And I used the excellent FreqReact by Davey Studio to have some adjustment layers reacting to the kick, and later, when things go extra festive, to manipulate the transparency of the top of two layers, with a different version of the same animation. Time is still limited, so fast solutions for a semi-interesting visualizer are always welcome. And boy, the new version is really fast. Compared to the first one I keep thinking I did something wrong. It is nearly instant. instead of two cigarettes and a coffee. Happy with that!
